Training & Placement Coordinator

The Training & Placement Coordinator is responsible for supporting and facilitating the entire placement process, maintaining industry relations, coordinating student training programs, and ensuring seamless execution of campus recruitment activities. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty, and corporate partners.
**2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Placement Coordination**
- Assist in organizing campus recruitment drives, including coordinating with companies, scheduling interviews, and managing logistics.
- Maintain and update the placement database (students and company details).
- Prepare placement reports, statistics, and documentation as required.
- Support the T&P Team in inviting companies for campus recruitment and following up regularly.
- Coordinate pre-placement talks (PPTs), written tests, group discussions, and interview rounds.
**B. Student Support & Counselling**
- Guide students regarding placement procedures, interview preparation, resume building, and career opportunities.
- Maintain regular communication with students for updates on company requirements and eligibility.
- Ensure students follow placement rules, protocols, and timelines.
- Organize mock interviews, aptitude tests, and soft-skill training sessions.
**C. Training Activities**
- Assist in planning and executing skill development workshops, internships, and training programs.
- Identify training needs of students and coordinate with trainers/industry experts.
- Support the implementation of employability enhancement programs.
**D. Industry Interaction**
- Help build and maintain strong relationships with corporate recruiters.
- Coordinate with companies for feedback on student performance and improve training practices accordingly.
- Assist in developing new industry collaborations and MoUs.
**E. Administration & Documentation**
- Prepare reports, notices, circulars, and communication materials for T&P activities.
- Manage attendance, records, and participation of students in all training and placement events.
- Ensure smooth coordination with academic departments and administration.
**3. Required Skills & Competencies**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure during recruitment season.
- Professional attitude with strong sense of responsibility and discipline.
- Knowledge of current industry trends and placement procedures (preferred).
**4. Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT/ Management
- Prior experience in training & placement or corporate relations preferred.
**5. Additional Requirements**
- Willingness to work beyond regular working hours during campus drives.
- Strong networking skills and ability to interact with industry professionals.
