**Job Title**: Middle School Social Studies Teacher (Grades 8 & 9)
**Location**: Phoenix Greens School,
**Department**: Middle School
**Reporting To**: Academic Coordinator / Principal

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Teach Social Studies curriculum (History, Geography, Civics/Economics) as per the prescribed board (CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE - specify if applicable).
- Design lesson plans and assessments that promote critical thinking, debate, research, and conceptual clarity.
- Use a variety of teaching techniques including technology integration, project-based learning, and experiential activities.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external exams in accordance with academic standards.
- Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate regularly with parents.
- Participate in faculty development, staff meetings, and school events.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in History, Political Science, Geography, or related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Minimum **3-5 years** of teaching experience at the middle school level.
- Strong command over English (spoken and written).
- Familiarity with modern teaching tools and digital platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, smart boards).

**Preferred Qualities**:

- Passionate about shaping young minds and encouraging independent thinking.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and innovative in the classroom.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience in organizing debates, model UNs, or social science exhibitions is a plus.
