Position: Electrical Draftsman

**POSITION PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES**:

- Electrical Draftsman who uses **2D AutoCAD (DraftSight)** & **2D Electrical SolidWorks** software programs to design and perfect new electrical systems.
- Develop high-quality electrical CAD Drawings and technical documentation under applicable codes, standards, and internal guidelines, to support production and systems-build projects.
- Electrical Draftsman troubleshoot potential electrical issues of production, make decisions to fix any issues and help production engineers develop SOPs/DCR.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Create accurate, detailed technical plans for electrical systems using computer-aided design programs to convert specifications and design information from engineers into schematics and blueprints.
- Prepare comprehensive wiring diagrams for electrical equipment and systems according to project objectives, design information, and engineering specifications.
- Check that final technical drafts include all relevant information in an easy-to-read format, and verify that calculations, measurements, and units are accurate based on initial design information from engineers or clients.
- Review technical drafts as needed according to verbal or written instructions from project managers, engineering team, and clients, and provide cost estimates when required.
- Participate in the design process by supporting engineers and designers, contributing ideas and information that enhances the final product cost, quality, and performance.
- Assist designers and project managers as needed in preparing technical document packages and presentation slides for meetings and presentations with clients.
- Electrical Draftsman use their expertise to assist in the production of electrical systems; helping to avoid problems and addressing any issues that might arise in the manufacturing process.
- Providing technical (electrical) support to assist manufacturing/testing/quality teams with technical documentation, manuals, or SOPs.
- Explain drawings to production teams or customers, to clarify design details and receive feedback for improvements.
- Creation and maintenance of a Bill of Materials and Cable Schedules for projects with complete and accurate information promptly.
- Efficient effective establishment and management of engineering document control in strict compliance with requirements defined by the supervisor, including drawing revisions and design changes.

**OTHER DUTIES**:

- CAD & Product Data Management.
- Other tasks that may be delegated by management from time to time.
- Personal objectives as documented in the Annual Performance Review form.
- Learning Objectives issued to employees.
- Meet or exceed all KPIs.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:

- Proficiency with AutoCAD & SolidWorks Electrical software.
- Basic electrical/electronic circuit analysis skills.
- Working knowledge & familiarity with technical codes, international drawing standards, and specifications, including Australian standards AS1100, AS/NZ4383 and AS/NZS 3000.
- Knowledge of electrical and signal schematics and related best practices and principles.
- Strong knowledge of Electronic Troubleshooting Techniques of product.
- Well-developed planning skills.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented and experienced in follow-through and completion of projects.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- **Diploma/Degree** in **Electrical Engineering** with **1 to 5 years** of relevant work experience in **Design Department**.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical 2D and 3D, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of electrical circuitry and design

Knowledge and experience in mains and solar-powered instrumentation systems & Electrical panel systems design is an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
