We **Madeline Advisory (OPC) Pvt. Ltd**., are outsourcing company (Separate entity) doing audit and accounts related work for Bakertilly Hem LLP, Uganda (CPA firm) currently since 2014. We are back office for bekertilly Uganda. Bakertilly is among the top 10 accounting network firms in the world. We have our office at Kandivali West
- Mumbai.

**Qualification**

B.Com., M.Com., Semi qualified CA (CA dropout)

**Required Skill Set**

Tally ERP, MS Office (Advance in excel), Internet, knowledge of caseware have added benefits.

**Relevant Industry**

Statutory Audit (relevant experience in CA Firm or relevant industry will be a plus)

**Job Description / Responsibilities**

1. Preparation of Audit Working papers and Financial Statements.

2. Performance of opening balance reconciliation, Bank Reconciliation, VAT/GST Statutory Reconciliations with Sales/Purchase/ Admin Exp as per VAT returns & as per accounts, PAYE(TDS) Reconciliation with Payroll & salary ledger as per accounts. And reconciliation of other statutory returns e.g., NSSF & WHT with accounts. Passing entries of depreciation and Realised & Unrealised forex gain / loss.

3. Filling in Income tax returns.

4. Attend weekly trainings and adhere company policy.

5. Any other work related to audit, taxation, accounts etc.

6. Assist in conducting financial audits of client organizations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accounting principles.

7. Perform detailed testing of financial transactions, account balances, and internal controls to identify discrepancies or irregularities.

8. Document audit procedures, findings, and recommendations in clear and concise workpapers for review by senior auditors.

9. Participate in meetings with client personnel to gather information, clarify audit objectives, and discuss audit findings.

10. Assist in the preparation of audit reports summarizing key findings, observations, and recommendations for improvement.

11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions for addressing audit issues and implementing best practices.

12. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, auditing standards, and industry trends to ensure compliance and enhance audit methodologies.

13. Provide support during external audits by coordinating information requests, preparing schedules, and responding to auditor inquiries.

14. Contribute to the development and maintenance of audit programs, checklists, and templates to streamline audit processes.

15. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance audit skills and knowledge.

Necessary training will be given. Work from home option not available unless very critical

1. Should have hands on experience in statutory audit of Private limited companies. However, the audit (clients) would be from Ugandan Private limited companies.

2. Should possess Audit and Analytical Knowledge.

3. Assisting with onshore team in completion of the clients’ assignments.

Must have minimum 1 year of hand on experience on the job description related work.

**Requirement**

2. 1-3 years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, or related field is a plus.

3. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing standards.

4. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies.

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

7. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

9. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
