**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Monitor and assure DB availability as per project design and requirements.
- Continuous monitoring and optimisation of capacity and utilisation of the DB as per project requirements
- Adhere to service assurance, change management, problem management processes defined for the project and coordinate for release management.
- Adhere to escalation matrix and timely resolution of the issues and submission of RCAs
- Assist for any future cloud migrations to public CSP like OCI or Azure or AWS.
- Responsible for SLA adherence and continuous improvement.
- Continuous performance and capacity optimisation to keep IOs, storage mínimal through proactive housekeeping
- Ensure periodic DB audits and timely submission of reports to customer or any external agency appointed

**Qualification**:

- B.E./ B. Tech or M.C.A or higher degree from a recognized university
- 10+ Years' relevant experience in administering Oracle RAC DB
- Should be OCP certified in Database administrations
- Knowledge of SQL and stored procedures, query tuning is mandatory
- Sound knowledge of RDBMS concepts and hands on SQL experience is required
- Knowledge of Maria DB, Cassandra, MYSQL is desirable.
- Should have experience of practising ITIL O&M processes in 24x7 support model
- Experience of mission critical utility or Banking data center as DBA is mandatory involving OLAP/OLTP architecture

**Preferred Certifications**:

- ITIL v3 or higher
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification
