Job description We're seeking a compassionate counselor to join our Mano Layam Rhythm of the Mind Centre for Wellbeing at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The center offers one-on-one counseling, support groups, workshops, and more. If you have experience with young adults and a passion for holistic well-being, join our team to design and implement dynamic programs tailored to student needs. Your role includes providing counseling, workshops, and group therapy, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and collaborating with outside providers. Relevant counseling experience, and expertise in anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship issues is required.
Skills Required Excellent active listening and communication skills Patience, compassion and a non-judgmental attitude Ability to create a sense of safety and security with the students Working with students to help them develop their own solutions and set achievable goals Intervening with high-risk students Collaborating with outside providers when required Organized and timely recording keeping and adherence to ethical guidelines Ability to interact effectively with faculty and staff Ability to work under pressure Good command of the English language
