A duty electrician is detailed who continuously monitors power supply to campus.
- In case of power failure from TNEB line, the duty electrician initiates Generator supply.
- Power supply is distributed to college and hostel on need basis and according to availability which varies from time to time.
- During college peak hours power supply to hostels is switched off (except Messes) to prevent over loading.
- Maintain accurate record of usage of diesel and report to Campus Supervisor for procurement of diesel.
- At any given time the diesel stock in the store should not be less than 250 liters.
- Electricians need to go through the complaint register and obtain job card from Site Supervisor.
- To procure necessary electrical spares form store i/c and to carry out repair work.
- To report to CS with the work progress at the end of the day for proper logging.
- Electricians should attend to any other job ( with in their competence ) assigned to them by the CS, when there is no pending electrical job.
