**Job Description: Server Administrator Intern**

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Server Administrator Intern** to join our IT team. This role is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in server administration, IT infrastructure, and system support. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced IT team to assist in managing, maintaining, and optimizing server environments.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Server Monitoring and Maintenance**:

- Monitor server performance and health using tools and dashboards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates and patches.
- Identify and troubleshoot server issues under guidance.
- **System Administration**:

- Assist with the configuration and deployment of servers.
- Support user account management, including access permissions and security.
- **Backup and Recovery**:

- Ensure data backup procedures are running correctly.
- Participate in testing and implementing recovery protocols.
- **Network and Security**:

- Help with the implementation of security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting for network-related issues.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Update IT knowledge base with common issues and solutions.
- **Support and Collaboration**:

- Assist IT team in responding to technical support tickets related to servers and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects and system upgrades.

**Qualifications**
- **Educational Background**:

- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Basic understanding of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (IP addresses, DNS, etc.).
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
