As an Image Editor with a minimum of 6 months of experience in handling e-commerce product images, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal of our online catalog. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that product images are visually appealing, consistent, and aligned with the brand’s standards. Attention to detail, creativity, and proficiency in image editing tools are essential for success in this role.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Image Enhancement
- Edit and enhance product images to meet quality and aesthetic standards.
- Ensure consistency in style, color, and tone across all product images.
- Background Removal
- Expertise in removing backgrounds from product images, creating a clean and professional appearance.
- Replace or adjust backgrounds as necessary to enhance visual appeal.
- Clipping Technique
- Using a Pen tool for clipping products or a Lasso Tool or Magic Wand Tool
- Color Correction
- Correct color variations and ensure accurate representation of products.
- Maintain a cohesive color palette across all product images.
- Crop and Resize
- Crop and resize images to meet specific platform requirements without compromising on quality.
- Ensure product visibility and focus in each image.
- Detail Retouching
- Perform detailed retouching to improve the overall quality of product images.
- Address imperfections and enhance key features while maintaining a natural look.
- Adding Text and Graphics
- Know how to overlay text on images for promotional banners or to highlight product features.
- Add basic graphics or icons to enhance visual appeal.
- Wrinkle Reduction
- Reduce the appearance of wrinkles using the clone stamp or healing brush tool.
- Light and Shadow Adjustment
- Enhance the lighting and shadows to bring out more details in the image.
- Use the dodge and burn tools for localized adjustments.
- Skin Smoothing
- Use the blur or smoothing tool to even out skin tones and reduce minor imperfections.
- Blemish Removal- Consistency and Brand Guidelines
- Adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all images.
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure alignment with overall brand strategy.
- Quality Control
- Conduct quality checks on edited images to ensure they meet the defined standards.
- Understand file size vs image dimensions in respect to image quality
- Identify and rectify any issues related to image quality or consistency.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with photographers, graphic designers, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal results.
- Effectively communicate and implement feedback from various teams.
- File Management
- Organize and maintain a well-structured file system for edited images.
- Ensure timely delivery of edited images for use on the e-commerce platform

**Skills Required**:

- Fresher with decent knowledge or a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in image editing, preferably in an e-commerce setting.
- Proficiency in image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop or equivalent. Other online tools or solutions for easy and fast image editing techniques (should be able to suggest at least 2 such tools)
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Knowledge of image formats, color profiles, and resolution.
- Understanding of e-commerce image standards and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

**Professional / Technical Skills**:

- Should have expert knowledge of Photoshop, and Pen (Knowledge of Illustrator - added advantage).
- Should be able to coordinate with the designers and other team members to identify editing needs.
- Should be able to work on editing images on a white background as well as lifestyle images for e-commerce marketplaces.
- Should be able to review images, edit, and make necessary changes & manipulate photos to achieve the highest quality as per set SOPs.
- Should be able to deliver clean, web-ready designs based on existing style guides and brand guidelines in a fast-paced production environment.
- Should be able to work on being a team player and come up with improvement ideas for the team leader and improve the editing/QA process.
- Should stay up to date with new image editing technologies/software.
- Should ensure adherence to the style guide and branding.
