ABOUT THE PROGRAM

At PARIKSHE high-quality bilingual (Kannada-plus-English) teaching content videos are released on YouTube covering the Karnataka SSLC syllabus systematically throughout the academic year. Additionally, there are special live classes for a community of interested students to help them prepare for their school and board exams in a comprehensive manner. Learning material complementing the videos and classes, such as notes and question banks, are also provided to the students as required.

**Background** - SIFF Scholars PARIKSHE is an initiative of a dedicated group of educators who have been coaching students from under-resourced backgrounds for the Karnataka SSLC Exams for more than six years in the in-school program called SIFF Scholars. The SIFF Scholars students have shown phenomenal results, with an average score of 85% in their board exams and a pass percentage of 100% every year. More than half of our students received a distinction in their board exam results.

**SKILL REQUIREMENTS**

The Online Lecture Faculty would be a person who:

- Is fluent in both Kannada and English
- Enjoys teaching and is excited about being in front of the camera
- Is familiar with basic technology usage including working on office tools (MS Office and GSuite

tools)

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Online Video Lectures:

- Planning, scripting and executing video lessons in both asynchronous and synchronous formats
- Designing and implementing strategies to make the content engaging and improving student retention
- Conducting Live Lectures and Doubt-Solving Sessions
- Engaging with students during live classes
- Reviewing Videos for editing
- Ensuring quality of the video content created

2. Content Planning and Creation:

- Creating a plan for coverage of the syllabus through videos and live classes.
- Creating learning content to supplement the video lessons such as notes, worksheets and question banks
- Creating slides for the lessons
- Researching to create competitive and quality content
- Ensuring quality of the content created
- Creating promotional content

3. Program Duties:

- Using designated tools for workflow management
- Collaborating with the team on content design and strategy
- Contributing to other program responsibilities as and when required

**Technological Skills (preferred)**
- MS Office - Powerpoint, Word
- Google Sheets
- Familiarity with work-management tools like ClickUp

**ELIGIBILITY**

Educational Qualifications : Graduate in a related stream (post-graduate is preferred)

Work Experience : Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in secondary grades is required
