Job Summary: The Purchase Executive in the construction industry is responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and services. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of construction-related items. The Purchase Executive plays a vital role in supporting construction projects by optimizing costs, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine the procurement requirements for construction projects. Develop procurement plans and strategies that align with project timelines and specifications.

Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify and qualify potential suppliers of construction materials, equipment, and services. Evaluate suppliers based on criteria such as quality, price, reliability, and delivery capabilities. Establish and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers.

Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements. Ensure that contracts are comprehensive, compliant, and reviewed periodically. Monitor and enforce contract terms throughout the procurement process.

Purchase Order Processing: Generate and manage purchase orders based on project needs and approved requisitions. Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and any specific project requirements. Track and manage orders to ensure on-time delivery.

Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate positive relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration. Address any supplier-related issues promptly and professionally. Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement strategies as needed.

Cost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality. Analyze pricing trends, negotiate better deals, explore alternative suppliers, and implement cost-saving initiatives. Monitor and control procurement budgets.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that procured construction materials and equipment meet the required quality standards. Address any quality issues with suppliers and implement corrective actions.

Inventory Management: Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely availability of construction materials on-site. Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and consumption patterns to optimize inventory management. Minimize excess inventory and stockouts.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation. Generate reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings for management review. Ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations in the procurement process. Stay updated on procurement best practices and industry-specific compliance requirements in the construction industry.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management in the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and vendor management capabilities.
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and industry-specific procurement processes.
- Familiarity with sourcing and evaluating suppliers in the construction sector.
- Understanding of construction project timelines, specifications, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.

**Salary**: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
