**Position Overview**:
The Tissue Culture and MSC Specialist in Horticulture and Ayurvedic plays a critical role in overseeing the tissue culture process and managing the micropropagation of medicinal plants. This role requires deep expertise in horticulture, tissue culture techniques, and an understanding of Ayurvedic principles to ensure the successful cultivation and production of high-yield, high-quality plant material.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the design, development, and optimization of tissue culture protocols for the micropropagation of medicinal plants, with a focus on maintaining genetic stability and maximizing yield.
- Cultivate and maintain plant tissue cultures under sterile laboratory conditions, including media preparation, subculturing, and monitoring of growth parameters.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the purity, viability, and uniformity of tissue-cultured plants.
- Conduct research and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to explore innovative approaches to enhance plant growth, disease resistance, and bioactive compound production.
- Manage and maintain tissue culture laboratory equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Train and mentor junior staff members in tissue culture techniques, laboratory protocols, and best practices.
- Collaborate with horticulturists, botanists, and Ayurvedic experts to develop cultivation strategies that optimize plant health and medicinal properties.
- Contribute to research projects, publications, and grant proposals aimed at advancing the field of horticulture and Ayurvedic medicine.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree or higher in Horticulture, Plant Science, Botany, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in tissue culture techniques, preferably in the cultivation of medicinal plants.
- Proficiency in sterile laboratory techniques, aseptic culture methods, and tissue culture media preparation.
- Experience in the management of tissue culture laboratories, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize tissue culture protocols.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for sustainable agriculture, plant conservation, and traditional medicinal practices.
- Publication record demonstrating contributions to the field of horticulture, plant biotechnology, or Ayurvedic medicine is desirable.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
