Pgt Social Science Teacher

**Position Title**: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) - Social Science
- **Instruction**: Conduct engaging and interactive social science classes that foster critical thinking, inquiry, and historical and cultural awareness, utilizing a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and instructional technologies to promote student engagement and understanding.
- **Interdisciplinary Approach**: Integrate multiple disciplines within the social sciences to provide students with a holistic understanding of human societies, cultures, and systems, encouraging connections between historical events, geographical phenomena, political structures, economic principles, and sociocultural dynamics.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**: Develop and administer assessments (including tests, essays, projects, presentations, and simulations) to evaluate student comprehension and mastery of social science concepts, skills, and content knowledge, providing constructive feedback and support for student growth and improvement.
- **Individualized Support**: Provide additional assistance and guidance to students who require remediation or enrichment in social science, offering tutoring sessions, review sessions, and personalized learning opportunities tailored to meet individual learning needs and interests.
- **Curriculum Enhancement**: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the school's social science curriculum, including the creation of lesson plans, instructional materials, and supplementary resources to engage students and address contemporary issues, global perspectives, and diverse cultural perspectives.
- **Professional Development**: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with developments in the field of social science education, participating in workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and instructional effectiveness.
- **Collaboration**: Collaborate with colleagues, department members, and school administrators to coordinate instructional activities, share resources, and support the overall goals of the social science department and school community, fostering interdisciplinary connections and cross-curricular initiatives.
- **Parent Communication**: Maintain open and regular communication with parents or guardians regarding students' progress, performance, and participation in social science class, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner, and facilitating parent-teacher conferences as needed.
- **Extracurricular Involvement**: Participate in extracurricular activities related to social science, such as debate clubs, Model United Nations, history fairs, or community service projects, to enrich students' learning experiences and promote civic engagement, leadership, and social responsibility.
- **Ethical Conduct**: Uphold high standards of professional ethics and integrity, promoting a culture of respect, fairness, and inclusivity in all interactions with students, colleagues, parents, and stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- Master's degree or equivalent in Social Science, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, TGT) with specialization in social science education.
- Strong content knowledge and expertise in social science concepts, theories, and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using instructional technologies, primary and secondary sources, and multimedia resources to enhance teaching and learning.
- Ability to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that promotes inquiry, empathy, and critical engagement with complex social issues and phenomena.
- Commitment to fostering global awareness, civic literacy, and social responsibility through social science education.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
