Monitoring & Assurance

You will form part of a new and growing team within MAM Risk that will become the centre of excellence for key risk management activities across MAM globally. As part of the new MAM Risk Digital Transformation team, you will be pivotal in redesigning the way we perform risk management activities using your continuous improvement and data analytics mindset to drive efficiencies and provide meaningful insights.

Your responsibilities include:

- Ownership of delivery of critical monitoring and assurance activities across the global business.
- Continuous development of the MAM monitoring plan, including driving automation of controls, metrics and monitoring procedures.
- Manage and develop a junior talent who will be assisting you in the delivery of the MAM monitoring plan and assurance activities.
- Identify and communicate key risk indicators, issues, trends, and insights across MAM derived from monitoring and assurance activities.
- Collaborate with members of the global MAM Risk team across risk management activities, propose and drive continuous improvement initiatives that transform the way we manage risk.

You’ll bring with you:

- You will need to be risk focussed. Relevant experience in areas such as Operational Risk, Internal or External Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, Assurance is essential.
- A background in analytics, data management and/or data science is highly desirable, including experience using data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, data analysis tools such as SQL, Alteryx, and scripting languages such as SQL, R, VBA, Python.
- Experience with managing one or more direct reports is advantageous though not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset to enable you to identify trends and provide insights from your monitoring and assurance activities.
- Comfortable with initiating and leading conversations to discuss any issues, trends or insights identified.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work as a team and build strong relationships within the global MAM Risk team and broader Macquarie stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task and manage a book of work as well as competing priorities whilst effectively managing stakeholder expectations.
