Job Title: Purchase Executive

Location: Bangalore

Experience Required: 2 to 3 years (Only in the Construction Industry)

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Material Procurement:

- Source, negotiate, and procure all necessary materials required for construction projects, including raw materials, tools, and specialized items as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and maintain an uninterrupted supply chain.

2. Vendor Management:

- Identify, assess, and establish long-term relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of vendor performance to ensure quality and consistency.

3. Cost Optimization:

- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions to achieve the most cost-effective procurement of materials without compromising on quality.
- Continuously monitor market trends and changes in material prices to make informed purchasing decisions.

4. Inventory Control:

- Coordinate with site teams to maintain accurate records of inventory levels, reorder points, and lead times.
- Implement inventory control measures to manage stock levels efficiently, minimizing wastage and stockouts.

5. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure that all purchased materials meet quality and compliance standards for construction.
- Liaise with Quality Assurance teams to conduct inspections and tests on materials as necessary.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate documentation of purchase orders, contracts, and delivery notes.
- Prepare periodic reports on procurement activities, expenses, and budget adherence.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and other departments to ensure alignment in material requirements and timelines.
- Address any issues related to procurement that may impact project timelines and resolve them promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of proven experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Familiarity with local suppliers and market conditions.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with procurement software is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
