**Job Title**: Cafe Cashier

**Reports To**: Cafe Manager

**Responsibilities**:
**Customer Service**:

- Greet customers warmly and enthusiastically upon arrival.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service.
- Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients (specifically regarding vegan aspects), and cafe policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, both in-person and potentially over the phone or online ordering platforms.
- Build rapport with regular customers.

**Order Processing and Transactions**:

- Ensure accurate cash handling, including making change and balancing the till at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Issue receipts and process refunds or exchanges according to cafe policy.

**Cafe Support**:

- Assist with preparing simple beverages (e.g., coffee, tea) and packaging food items for takeout.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and front-of-house area.
- Stock and replenish items at the cashier station, such as napkins, straws, and menus.
- Assist with light cleaning duties, such as wiping down counters and tables.
- Alert kitchen staff to any special order requests or dietary restrictions.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.

**Knowledge of Vegan Offerings**:

- Develop a strong understanding of the cafe's vegan menu, including ingredients and potential allergens.
- Be able to clearly communicate information about our vegan options to customers.
- Stay informed about new menu items and seasonal specials.

**Adherence to Policies**:

- Follow all cafe policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, customer service, and food safety.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.

**Teamwork**:

- Work collaboratively with all cafe staff to ensure a positive and efficient work environment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Assist other team members as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
