**Job description

**We are looking for a suitable person for the post of** "AM/ DM - Quality & R&D" to be based out of our factory in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.**

**TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**

** Quality Function Management**:

- Develop, implement, monitor, and update quality processes and standards.
- Ensure alignment with the Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant certifications.
- **Product Quality Assurance**:

- Monitor and control the quality of incoming raw materials (metals, minerals, ferro-alloys), packaging materials, work-in-process items, and finished products.
- Oversee compliance with AWS, ASME, TPI, and other technical standards for welding consumables.
- **Lab Equipment and Testing**:

- Manage the maintenance, upkeep, and calibration of all laboratory instruments.
- Oversee testing of welding consumables, including mechanical and chemical properties, to ensure product reliability and adherence to standards.
- **R&D and Product Development**:

- Lead product development initiatives for stick electrodes, flux-cored wires, and related consumables.
- Optimize product formulations to enhance performance and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams for new material trials and product improvements.
- **Standards and Compliance**:

- Ensure adherence to AWS, ASME, and other relevant international standards.
- Coordinate with Third Party Inspection (TPI) agencies for product validation and certification.
- **Cost Optimization and Innovation**:

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through material optimization and process improvements.
- Drive innovation in welding consumables to meet market demands and enhance competitiveness.
- **Customer Complaint Management**:

- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address issues effectively.
- **QMS Compliance and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date QMS documents.
- Conduct internal audits and implement CAPA action plans to ensure continual improvement.
- **Team Development and Training**:

- Identify skill gaps within the QA and R&D teams and plan training programs accordingly.
- Work with HR to deliver quality-related training programs across departments.
- **Collaboration and Coordination**:

- Work closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to support quality and R&D activities.
**Qualifications

**Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Engineering (Metallurgy) with 7+ years of experience in quality assurance and R&D, preferably in welding consumables or related industries.

**Require**:

- Hands-on experience with product development, testing, and optimization of welding consumables.
- In-depth knowledge of metals, minerals, ferro-alloys, and welding consumable formulations.
- Proficiency in AWS, ASME, TPI standards, and testing methods for welding consumables.
- Expertise in root cause analysis, CAPA, and process improvements.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
