**What this job involves**:
About the role
We are looking for a highly impactful & resourceful MS SQL Server Database Administrator / Professional to join us as Database Administrator to support Microsoft SQL Server Databases effectively and efficiently.
The role is critical and would be responsible for the planning, installation, implementation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of critical SQL Server Database systems.

**Responsibilities**:
Manage SQL Server Databases.
Configure SQL Server Database for performance and availability.
Perform installation, configuration and troubleshoot the issues.
Insures high level performance, availability and sustainability and security.
Monitoring database performance and maintain databases to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
Support Infrastructure, Cloud operations, Networks teams in various IT activities involving TRIRIGA, Maximo, Archibus Applications/Systems.
Analyze customer’s challenges and take a primary role in the support and implementation of comprehensive solutions that integrate smoothly into customer environments.
Refine the regular process, track issues and document the changes.
Must have knowledge of T-SQL queries, procedures, functions.
Must have knowledge of replication of databases on various platform and on cross databases.
Maintain backup and recovery process, including disaster recovery planning.
Should be proficient with tools SSMA, SSIS and SSRS
Perform root cause analysis of any recurring problem.
Customer interaction for ticket status reporting or work directly with client for any ticket resolution.
Knowledge of Oracle database and DB2 database will be an added advantage.

Experience & Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Background with 3-5 years of Experience.

Technical Skills & Competencies
3 to 5 years of experience administering databases on Windows. Linux knowledge is an added advantage.
Extensive experience handling critical databases.
Understanding of web architecture, basic networking concepts.
Database installation and upgrade on various platform.
Performance Tuning Methodologies
In-depth knowledge and understanding of writing efficient SQL
Ability to closely work with database team and development team
Troubleshooting issues
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery

**Familiarity with Cloud Service Management**: AWS Cloud Services and Microsoft Azure
Solid communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills in a multi-user high availability environment
Create and maintain technical documentation w.r.t clients, process flow, training etc
Ability to work independently, prioritize and deliver results as per SLAs
Good interpersonal skills and ability to function as a team
High flexibility in working hours/days for maintenance activities
Tech-savvy and willingness to explore new technologies
Willing to work on Automation considering our future path
Good knowledge and hands-on experience in Documentation
Excellent communication skills, with ability to describe complex technical scenarios in a concise manner, both verbally and written, and articulating the content depending on the audience
Flexible and provide support through 24x7 window
Certified professionals are preferred
