Seva Sadan a 116-year-old non-profit organization based in Gamdevi, Mumbai is registered as a Trust and run by an elected Managing Committee working voluntarily. The services the Society offers include:

- A Residential Home for underprivileged girls
- Schools in Marathi and English medium (SSC Board)

We are looking for an experienced and well-qualified School Principal for the Society’s co-educational English School for ~300 students.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

MANAGEMENT AND GROWTH
- Overall responsibility for the management and performance of the school.
- Enable admissions to ensure the school runs at full capacity.
- Ensure that the school complies with statutory and other requirements. Keep abreast of new rules and compliances.
- Treat people fairly, equitably, with dignity and respect to create and maintain a positive culture.

ADMINISTRATION
- Manage the admission process
- Ensure all Personnel Files, Leave Records, etc are maintained and updated regularly.
- Ensure discipline, punctuality of staff and students, cleanliness and hygiene
- Manage the budget of the School and monitor spending.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
- Secure delivery of the highest possible standards of learning throughout the school.
- Maintain effective assessment and reporting systems of student progress.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships between school, students and parents.
- Ensure a wide range of community-based, off-site learning experiences are available.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
- Design and ensure teaching staff attends regular training sessions with a clear objective to improve specific teaching and communication skills
- Create and maintain a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, amongst all staff at the school.

REPORTING
- Accountable to the Management for all aspects of the performance of the school

**Required Experience and Qualifications**

**Possess all requisite qualifications in accordance with State Education Departments**

Education: Graduate plus B Ed
15-18 years experience in teaching in English schools, including 3-5 years in a leadership role either as a school principal or a department head or coordinator
Strong administrative skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear reports

Outstanding command over the English language
Great leadership skills
Ability to direct and guide a bunch of young and enthusiastic teachers
Orientation towards training and academic excellence

**Salary will commensurate with experience**

Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
