- Assisting customers with questions, concerns, or issues they might have about their purchases. Offering a friendly and professional attitude.
- Scanning or entering product prices into the register or point-of-sale (POS) system to calculate totals.
- Keeping the cashier area clean and organized, including restocking items such as bags, receipt paper, or other materials.
- Managing customer complaints or issues, such as incorrect charges or out-of-stock products, and escalating matters when necessary.
- Addressing any payment-related issues, discrepancies, or customer concerns with a professional demeanor, and escalating issues when necessary.
- Balancing the cash register and preparing the shift's financial report to ensure there are no discrepancies.
