**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Image Interpretation**: Analyze diagnostic images (e.g., X-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound) to identify and diagnose medical conditions, including fractures, tumors, infections, and other diseases.
- **Patient Consultation**: Review patient medical histories, communicate effectively with patients to obtain necessary information, and explain procedures as needed.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with other healthcare providers (e.g., physicians, surgeons, oncologists) to provide clear diagnostic interpretations and assist with treatment planning.
- **Reporting**: Generate detailed, accurate reports based on image interpretations, ensuring they are clear, precise, and understandable for referring physicians.
- **Procedure Guidance**: Provide oversight for imaging procedures, ensuring quality control, patient safety, and appropriate use of technology.
- **Continuous Learning**: Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiology technology, medical imaging techniques, and best practices.
- **Patient Care**: Ensure high standards of patient care, including minimizing exposure to radiation and other potential risks.
- **Supervision**: Supervise radiology technicians and support staff as required, providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
- **Administrative Duties**: Document patient information, reports, and interpretations accurately within electronic health record systems.
**Required Qualifications**:
- **Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.)** from an accredited institution.
- **Board Certification** in Radiology or eligible for board certification.
- **Licensure** to practice as a Radiologist.
- **Advanced Training** in specific radiological subspecialties (e.g., musculoskeletal, neuro-radiology, pediatric radiology) is preferred.
- **Excellent communication skills** to effectively interact with patients and medical staff.
- **Attention to detail** and the ability to handle complex diagnostic challenges.
- **Strong analytical skills** with a deep understanding of radiologic technology and medical imaging systems.
- **Experience** in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
