**Job Title**: Accounts Executive
**Location**: Bengaluru, India
**Department**: Finance & Accounts
**Reports to**: Finance Manager / Senior Accounts Executive
**Job Summary**:
The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This includes handling accounting transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in monthly and yearly financial reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and providing support for budgeting and auditing processes.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- **Accounting and Financial Transactions**:
- Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure proper financial reporting.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are matched, approved, and processed within deadlines.
- Monitor and manage petty cash transactions and reconcile petty cash balances.
- Required knowledge in E- invoice and E-way bill.
- **Bank Reconciliation**:
- Reconcile bank statements with the company’s accounting records on a monthly basis.
- Ensure all cash transactions are recorded accurately and investigate discrepancies in bank accounts.
- Reconcile Input tax credit and outward Tax liability with the company’s books and GST Portal on a monthly basis.
- **Taxation and Compliance**:
- Assist with the preparation and filing of GST returns (monthly/quarterly) and ensure compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns for Income Tax, TDS, PT and other applicable taxes.
- Support in statutory audits by providing required financial documents and reports.
- **Inventory and Cost Management**:
- Collaborate with the inventory and production departments to ensure accurate recording of inventory levels, purchases, and usage.
- Assist in the calculation of manufacturing costs and ensure cost-related data is correctly entered into the accounting system.
- Help monitor and report on cost variances, flagging any issues to management for further investigation.
- **Financial Reporting and Analysis**:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to help optimize company financial performance.
- Prepare management reports as required, summarizing key financial and operational data.
- **Payroll Processing**:
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of employee payroll, including salary disbursements, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain accurate records of employee benefits, Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), and other statutory payments.
- **Internal Controls and Audits**:
- Ensure adherence to internal control procedures, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary financial records and documentation.
- Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to internal accounting procedures.
- **Vendor and Customer Management**:
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely payment and resolution of issues.
- Coordinate with customers regarding billing, invoicing, and payment follow-ups.
- Resolve discrepancies in vendor or customer accounts and ensure timely communication for smooth financial transactions.
- **Collaboration and Support**:
- Work closely with other departments (such as HR, Operations, and Sales) to facilitate smooth coordination of financial and accounting activities.
- Provide accounting support and assist in resolving financial queries or issues as needed.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Accounting.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CA Inter, ICWA Inter, or CPA) will be an added advantage.
- **Experience**:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing company.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Proficient in accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
- **Personal Attributes**:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Proactive and willing to take initiative.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
**Working Conditions**:
- Full-time position.
- Office-based role, with occasional travel as required.
- Standard office hours, Monday to Saturday.
**Compensation & Benefits**:
