**Position**: Standby Man/ Firewatch (Shutdown)
**Location**: Saudi Arabia
**Salary**: 1200 + OT
**(CONTRACT PERIOD - 6 MONTHS)**

Key Responsibilities:
- **Fire Prevention and Safety**:
- Continuously monitor the work area for any potential fire hazards during high-risk activities like welding, cutting, or grinding.
- Ensure all fire prevention equipment (fire extinguishers, hoses, etc.) is in good working condition and easily accessible.
- Maintain awareness of hot work procedures, ensuring they are followed by all personnel.
- Alert workers immediately if a fire hazard is detected and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- **Monitoring and Surveillance**:
- Remain on-site and within the immediate vicinity of the work area while hot work is being conducted.
- Keep a visual and auditory check on the surrounding areas for signs of fire or smoke.
- Ensure that all combustible materials are kept a safe distance from the work area.
- **Emergency Response**:
- Be prepared to act quickly in case of a fire emergency, using fire suppression equipment to extinguish or control a fire until help arrives.
- Assist in evacuations, if necessary, and help guide personnel to safety.
- Immediately report any fire-related incidents to the supervisor or emergency response team.
- **Communication**:
- Maintain constant communication with the workers and other safety personnel.
- Report any observed unsafe conditions or behaviors to the supervisor promptly.
- Record and report fire safety activities, incidents, and inspections as required.
- **Safety Protocol Enforcement**:
- Ensure that all personnel involved in hot work operations are using proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in conducting safety briefings and ensuring workers are aware of fire safety measures before beginning work.
- Enforce compliance with safety procedures, including checking that fire watches are set up properly before hot work begins.
- **Post-Work Monitoring**:
- Continue to monitor the work area for a specified period (typically 30 minutes to an hour) after hot work has been completed to ensure no smoldering or fire risks remain.
- Inspect the area for residual hot spots and ensure that all tools and equipment are safely stored.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- **Fire Safety Training**: Knowledge of fire hazards, emergency response, and fire suppression techniques. Certification or training in fire safety and fire watch duties is usually required.
- **Vigilance**: Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused for extended periods of time.
Pay: ₹27,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
