**Job Description Specialist, Server & Storage**

**Role Description**:
Server & Storage Specialist to maintain & Act as a SME for specific areas of technology, Installation, Maintenance, including Incident and Problem Management, Proactive Maintenance activities and Implementation of new technologies.

Managing and maintaining Physical and virtual Servers, storage space, Virtualization including sizing & purchasing of new storage & servers as needed. Implementing security measures to protect stored data from external threats.

The Storage Administrator is for management of all centralized storage technologies. This technology includes the various SAN/NAS environments, storage networks, DAS environments and all other technologies classified as a storage technology.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
Qualifications - essential: Btech/MCA/relevant experience
Knowledge/ Experience - essential: 7-10yrs
Desired experience within a Server & Storage Administrator Specialist.

Ø **SAN, NAS & DAS Storage Administration**

Ø **Server Administrator (**Linux/IBM AIX/Unix /Win flavours)

Ø Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2016 R2

Ø VMware vSphere 5.5 and above

Ø VMware SRM (Site Recovery Manager)

Ø Core Wintel services including DNS, DHCP

Ø VMWare/ESXi/AHV

Ø Backup and Disaster Recovery Principal

Ø Working knowledge of network technologies (LAN & WAN).

Ø Install, configure as well as maintain storage hardware backup inclusive of physical plus virtual tape libraries or drives along with disk storage targets.

Ø Ensure to install as well as configure NetBackup customer software on UNIX or Linux as well as Windows systems.

Ø Perform activities related to install, configure and managing SAN devices and fiber switches.

Ø Administer Brocade director FC switches as well as blade chassis FC devices.

Ø Execute FC zoning for development and production storage volumes.

Ø Manage NetApp/EMC/HP snapshot and recovery methods for storage volumes.

Ø Execute across-site replication of significant DR data.

Ø Supervise volume replication overnight jobs and execute improvements.

Ø Oversee IO performance of production along with development of databases LUNs.

Ø Provide architecture as well as performance recommendations to DBAs and Ops.

Ø Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.

Ø Ensure backup methods are in place as well as tested for FC LUNs.

Ø Develop and maintain records for entire storage as well as FC systems.

Ø Collaborate with DBA as well as Ops to assure apt storage usage.

Ø Experience with HyperV

Ø Demonstrates knowledge of networking and security

Ø Strong knowledge of IIS and IIs on Failover Cluster

Ø Basic SQL Server

**Salary**: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
