**Job Title: Room Service Order Taker**

**Reports to: Room Service Manager**

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and detail-oriented Room Service Order Taker to join our hospitality team. As the primary point of contact for guests' room service needs, you will ensure prompt, accurate, and courteous service, enhancing our guests' overall experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Answer room service calls: Respond to guest calls in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.

2. Take orders accurately: Clearly understand and record guests' orders, special requests, and dietary restrictions.

3. Upsell and suggest: Recommend menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.

4. Communicate with kitchen staff: Relay orders and special requests to the kitchen team, ensuring timely preparation.

5. Manage orders and billing: Process orders, handle billing inquiries, and resolve any discrepancies.

6. Provide exceptional service: Anticipate and address guests' needs, ensuring a positive experience.

7. Maintain knowledge: Stay up-to-date on menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods.

8. Collaborate with team members: Work with room service, kitchen, and other departments to ensure seamless service.

**Requirements**:
1. Excellent communication skills

2. Friendly, patient, and attentive demeanor

3. Basic math skills and accuracy with orders

4. Ability to multitask and work under pressure

5. Knowledge of food and beverage offerings (desirable)

6. Previous hospitality experience (preferable)

**Working Conditions**:
1. Work in a fast-paced environment

2. Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

3. Standing and sitting for extended periods
