**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Daily operations responsibilities include handling and serving as the mentor/team leader on the following items/activities:

- A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience with database administration of Oracle Server 12C/19C including installation, patching, support, monitoring, backup and recovery.
- Ability to work independently and as a team on multiple tasks and commitment to deadlines.
- Experience in managing 24*7 production server, huge databases and multiple instances
- Proficiency in logical/physical data modeling/architecture design.
- Good Knowledge in SQL programming
- Experience with replication and data recovery
- Experience with OEM Agent and features: maintenance plan, scheduled jobs, alert, SQL Mail and DB Mail
- Experience with performance tuning, execution plan, trouble shooting, index and statistics
- Good knowledge of active-active cluster, SAN storage, data partitioning, multi-thread environment
- Good knowledge of and skills in database security design and implementation
- Knowledge of current technology to positively influence the development environment.
- Troubleshooting DB related alerts
- Backup/Restore, Data Refresh/Migration
- Good knowledge of the High Availability solutions Like Always On, Replication, Mirroring

**Experience and Skills**:

- Strong experience working as an OracleDBA
- Experience of the full SQL features
- Experience of CA is essential
- Skillsets in Microsoft Applications such as Teams, Project, Word and Excel would be preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in the following focus areas: Always on, Mirroring, High Availability
- Substantial writing skills with the ability to write business/functional specifications, create process flow diagrams, and manage tasks to the agreed release plan/schedule
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, lean organization
- Unmatched attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple work streams without sacrificing quality
- Ability to handle multiple projects at same time and deliver consistent results under pressure.

**Eligibility**:

- Minimum 5 years IT experience.
- Should have at least “Meets Expectations” or equivalent rating in last appraisal.
- Minimum 12 months experience as DBA in Mercer.
- Should not be under any Performance Improvement Plan, or had any official Disciplinary action within the last 3 months
- Should not have applied for any other IJP within Mercer within the last 3 months

**Education**:

- B.E /B.Tech /MCA /BSc. [IT, Analytics, Computer Science specialization**]** preferred
