Birlasoft is seeking a seasoned SCM/Manufacturing SME with a strong background to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Manufacturing/Supply Chain SME - Job Description**

**Past Role(s) handled should include the following -**
- **15-20 years of experience** in the Manufacturing Industry (preferably Discrete/Auto) in supply chain domain or have held the role of Manufacturing/Supply chain SME in any tier-1 IT organization.
- Experience in consulting services around supply chain strategy with proven track record in solving real-world problems.
- Responsible for planning, implementing & managing company's overall supply chain, logistics strategy & operations.
- Deep domain expertise in overall supply chain management, KPIs and have led SCM transformational initiatives.

**Responsibilities for Manufacturing/Supply Chain SME role in IT Context for Birlasoft**:
The responsibilities of the SME are to ensure the facts and details are correct so that the project’s/program's deliverable(s) will meet the needs of the stakeholders, legislation, policies, standards, and best practices. To achieve this, SMEs will:

- As a part of the vertical SME team, participate in the workshops with customers and Sales teams where required to bring in the domain led competency flavour.
- Act as the “go to” person within the industry vertical for questions and problems within supply chain domain.
- Define solutions and propositions to solve real supply chain business problems with relevant technology solutions.
- Conduct research, share insights, mentor domain centric solutions team for design plus development of solutions around supply chain.
- Define the latest and greatest in the industry 4.0,5.0 area and share recommendations on various facets related to the same.
- Provide recommendations for technology led improvements in the industry.
- Understand the customer/ sales language/terms/jargon in manufacturing.
- Speak with Analysts like Forrester, Gartner, IDC representing the organisation competency on various supply chain functions.
- Evaluate and recommend the right partnerships with Start-ups and smaller partners in manufacturing domain.
- Understand requisite knowledge that underlies effective decision-making and is able to clearly communicate where anomalies or flaws may occur in the decision-making.
