A hostel warden is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a hostel, including maintenance, security, and student welfare. They ensure that residents have a good experience and that the hostel runs smoothly. Responsibilities
- **Security**: Monitor security and respond to issues, especially at night
- **Maintenance**: Oversee the maintenance of the hostel
- **Food**: Oversee the quality of food served in the hostel
- **Discipline**: Maintain discipline among students and report misbehavior to the director
- **Room allocation**: Assign rooms to students
- **Student welfare**: Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of students
- **Community spirit**: Foster a positive and inclusive community spirit among students
- **Coordination**: Coordinate with kitchen and medical staff
- **Availability**: Be available at all hours, especially at night, to respond to issues
