**Job Title: Electrician**

Electricians are skilled tradespeople responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. They work with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of electrical systems.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Installation**: Install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to blueprints, electrical codes, and safety standards.

2. **Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. This may involve inspecting electrical components, replacing worn or damaged parts, and troubleshooting electrical problems.

3. **Repair**: Diagnose and repair electrical problems such as malfunctioning outlets, switches, and circuit breakers. This may require testing circuits, replacing faulty components, and ensuring proper grounding and insulation.

4. **Upgrades**: Upgrade electrical systems to meet the changing needs of clients or to comply with updated regulations and standards. This may involve replacing outdated equipment, increasing capacity, or installing energy-efficient lighting and appliances.

5. **Safety**: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of oneself and others. This includes following proper procedures for handling electrical equipment, wearing appropriate protective gear, and identifying and addressing potential hazards.

6. **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations. This documentation may be used for regulatory compliance, warranty purposes, or future reference.

7. **Customer Service**: Interact with clients to understand their needs, explain proposed solutions, and address any concerns or questions they may have. Provide courteous and professional service to ensure customer satisfaction.

8. **Teamwork**: Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers, carpenters, and HVAC technicians, to coordinate projects and ensure that electrical systems integrate smoothly with other building systems.

9. **Continuing Education**: Stay up-to-date with advances in electrical technology, building codes, and safety regulations through ongoing training and professional development activities.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- ITI / High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems.
- State licensure or certification as a journeyman electrician (requirements vary by location).
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, codes, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience with hand and power tools used in electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and climbing.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

**Working Conditions**:
Electricians typically work indoors, although they may occasionally work outdoors in various weather conditions. They may be exposed to hazards such as electrical shocks, burns, and falls, so strict adherence to safety protocols is essential. The work may involve standing, kneeling, crawling, and lifting heavy objects. Electricians often work full-time hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and overtime depending on project deadlines and client needs.

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
