The nVent CADDY brand includes fixing, fastening and support products for electrical installation, seismic and fire protection, data communications and heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. nVent LENTON offers components for concrete reinforcing steel connections. We also offer nVent ERIFLEX low-voltage, space-saving power, and grounding connections for electrical panels and nVent ERICO offers components for electrical protection, rail and transit connectivity, telecom installation, and utility and industrial facility electrical installation systems.

- nVent ERICO has roots that trace back to 1903, when the Electric Railway Improvement Company was founded to supply power bonds, signal bonds and related welding equipment to railroads, mining and street railway industries._
- WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

- KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead a team of engineers and designers supporting the CADDY and LENTON product lines.
- Manage resources, assign brand support and sustaining projects and activities, manage the team’s workload, and communicate with internal and external customers on progress and status.
- Coordinate with the Applications Engineering Director to develop annual performance objectives, manage and lead mid-year and annual reviews, create individual development plans, and provide and support growth opportunities for the team.
- Hire, onboard and train new engineers and designers.
- Improve processes, tools, and efficiency through continuous improvement projects to help eliminate barriers to execution.
- Establish metrics and communicate KPIs to the organization.
- Use your technical skills and product knowledge to support Application Engineering team members as well as Product Management, Product Development, Supply, Quality and Sales.
- Check and approve engineering drawings and specifications, as well as test programs and reports.

- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering an ABET accredited program
- Experience with managing an engineering team that supports external customers
- Skills:

- Strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills
- Strong in-person and virtual communication skills with direct reports, customers, engineers, and internal colleagues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment in a self-directed manner
- Time management / prioritization skills that enable you to manage multiple tasks/projects at the same time.
- Familiar with electrical and mechanical lab equipment to support test programs and requirements.
- Ability to identify product and/or installation requirements from relevant codes and standards
- Preferred Skills:

- Project Management skills
- Experience relating to seismic bracing, wind bracing, plumbing layouts, electrical layouts, and cable tray management, a plus.
- Knowledge of local building codes and standards
