Sales executives are responsible for selling a company’s products or services to potential customers. They are often regarded as the face of the company and the primary point of contact for clients.
A sales executive usually performs the following tasks:
- Find new business opportunities and customers
- Contact potential customers to showcase company products or services
- Develop relationships with existing customers and keep in touch with them
- Negotiate prices and terms with customers
- Prepare sales contracts and keep track of sales activities
- Work with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction
Sales executives need certain education and training to perform their duties efficiently. While a college degree is not always required, a business, marketing, or communications degree may be preferred in some industries. Additionally, sales executives may need to acquire industry-specific certifications, such as a real estate license or a pharmaceutical sales certification. To succeed in their roles, sales executives should have in-depth knowledge of the products and services they sell; therefore, training in product information is essential. They must also be skilled in presentation, negotiation, and communication to persuade potential clients effectively. In addition to these soft skills, sales executives may also require software training to operate software such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing automation software, including Marketo, Pardot, and Hubspot, which are commonly used in sales and marketing departments.
**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
