**Tandoor Chef Job Responsibilities**
A **Tandoor Chef** is responsible for preparing and cooking food using a traditional tandoor (clay oven). Below are the key responsibilities:
**1. Tandoor Cooking & Food Preparation**:
- Prepare and cook a variety of **tandoori dishes** such as naan, roti, kebabs, tandoori chicken, and seafood.
- Ensure proper **marination and seasoning** of meats, vegetables, and other dishes using traditional Indian spices.
- Monitor and **control the tandoor temperature** to achieve the perfect cooking results.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet restaurant standards.
**2. Kitchen Operations & Equipment Handling**:
- Operate and maintain the **tandoor oven** efficiently and safely.
- Ensure regular **cleaning and maintenance** of tandoor equipment.
- Manage the **storage and preparation** of tandoori ingredients to prevent wastage.
- Work with other chefs to **coordinate meal preparation** and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
**3. Hygiene & Safety Compliance**:
- Maintain high standards of **kitchen cleanliness and hygiene** in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Follow proper **food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures**.
- Ensure **safe use of kitchen tools and equipment** to avoid accidents.
**4. Inventory & Stock Management**:
- Monitor and manage **stock levels** of tandoori ingredients and supplies.
- Assist in **ordering and receiving** necessary ingredients.
- Ensure **mínimal food wastage** through efficient portioning and storage.
**5. Menu Innovation & Teamwork**:
- Suggest and develop **new tandoori dishes** to enhance the restaurant’s menu.
- Train and guide **junior kitchen staff** on tandoori cooking techniques.
- Work as a team player and support other chefs during busy service hours.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
