- Maintenance: Perform routine servicing and maintenance
- Troubleshooting: Find faults, repair, or replace equipment

- Monitoring: Ensure that the surveillance system is functioning properly and respond to alarms
- Configuration: Configure CCTV systems so they are compatible with the necessary software and connected to the correct wiring
- Support: Provide technical support to end users covering all software and hardware related issues
- Paperwork: Complete necessary paperwork and service sheets
- Safety: Maintain health and safety standards for company work and equipment
- Site surveys: Conduct site surveys and document findings
