Buyer - Men's Apparel

Key Responsibilities:
1. Merchandise Planning and Selection: o Develop seasonal buying plans based on market trends, customer preferences, and business goals. o Source, select, and procure merchandise that aligns with the brand’s identity and sales objectives. o Identify and act on emerging trends and opportunities to expand the category.
2. Vendor Management: o Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms. o Manage vendor performance, ensuring timely deliveries, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
3. Sales and Inventory Management: o Monitor category performance, including sales, margins, and sell-through rates, and take corrective actions as needed. o Collaborate with the planning team to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize markdowns.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration: o Partner with marketing, e-commerce, and store teams to create impactful product launches and promotional campaigns. o Work with the visual merchandising team to ensure appealing in-store and online displays.
5. Market Analysis and Research: o Conduct regular market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and customer insights to refine product strategy. o Stay updated on industry trends, new suppliers, and innovative product offerings.
Qualifications and Skills**:Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.** 3-5 years of buying experience, preferably in the men’s apparel or accessories category. **Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory and financial analysis.** Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities. **Strong understanding of market trends and customer behavior in the men’s fashion segment.** Proficient in tools like Excel, ERP systems, and other retail software. **Excellent communication and teamwork skills**
