Welder/fitter

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder and Fitter who is willing to travel as required to various project sites. As a Welder and Fitter, you will be responsible for performing welding and fitting tasks, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and adhering to safety regulations. This position requires flexibility and the ability to work effectively in different locations.

**Responsibilities**:
Perform welding and fitting tasks based on project requirements, including but not limited to assembling, fabricating, and installing components.

Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to determine the appropriate welding techniques and materials required.

Set up and operate welding equipment and tools, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welders, grinders, and cutting torches.

Inspect and evaluate welded structures and components for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to specifications.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and team members to plan and execute welding and fitting tasks within designated timelines.

Travel to project sites as required, which may involve domestic or international travel for varying durations.

Adhere to project-specific requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices.

Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly.

Complete necessary documentation, such as work orders, inspection reports, and time sheets accurately and in a timely manner.

**Requirements**:
Proven experience as a Welder and Fitter, with a minimum of years of relevant work experience.

Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.

Strong knowledge of welding principles, equipment operation, and safety protocols.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.

Experience in fitting and assembling components accurately and efficiently.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments.

Flexibility to travel to project sites as required, often at short notice, and stay for extended periods if necessary.

Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-quality workmanship.

Strong physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding and fitting tasks in various positions and environments.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.
