Overview:
The Data Scientist plays a critical role in */dxg’s Data Analytics and Reporting team. This newly established data function is designed to deliver advanced analytics solutions that empower stakeholders with actionable insights, driving the success of DXG’s transformation programs. This role will focus on developing, enhancing, and maintaining data-driven reporting solutions using tools like Microsoft Power BI and other components of the Power Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data-Driven Analytics Solutions: Design, develop, and deliver analytics and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps to support DXG’s transformation efforts. These solutions will provide stakeholders with clear insights to inform strategy, monitor progress, and support decision-making.
- Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across */dxg to understand their reporting and analytics needs, translating business requirements into system specifications and ensuring that solutions align with */dxg’s strategic objectives.
- Solution Design: Leverage a deep understanding of data modeling, analytics tools, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to propose solutions that enhance DXG’s operational and transformation goals.
- Documentation & Artifacts: Produce key project artifacts, including data flows, process flows, Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), and Functional Specifications (FS), to ensure the clarity and alignment of analytics projects.
- Data Governance & Integrity: Implement policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, consistency, and alignment with data governance standards while ensuring the appropriate use of the Power Platform’s capabilities for customization.
- Best Practices & Innovation: Contribute to the development of analytics best practices, project standards, and quality objectives to continuously improve the delivery of data insights across */dxg’s transformation programs.
- Data Culture Leadership: Promote a data-driven culture within */dxg by advocating the use of analytics to drive decision-making and strategy, enabling teams to leverage a common data platform and reporting standards.
- Collaboration with Technical Teams: Partner closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other technical teams to ensure the successful modeling, integration, and deployment of data sources and analytics models that meet the business needs.

Key Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Data Science or Data Analysis or equivalent experience, with a focus on delivering data analytics solutions.
- Analytics Expertise: Strong experience with data analytics tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and other components of the Power Platform. Ability to design and deliver solutions that offer stakeholders clear, actionable insights.
- Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work with data engineers and technical teams for data modeling, ensuring that solutions are aligned with business objectives and technical standards.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail, capable of identifying problems, evaluating options, and providing innovative solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Data Governance: Experience implementing data integrity, governance, and reporting standards that support the consistent delivery of high-quality analytics solutions.
- Data-Driven Focus: Demonstrated experience in driving a data-driven culture, with the ability to influence stakeholders to adopt analytics solutions.
