Job Summary:
As the Formulation Development Manager for OSD, Semi-Solids & Injectable, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of formulation scientists and researchers to develop robust and optimized formulations for a diverse range of pharmaceutical products. You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and successful development of novel drug formulations, supporting the company's mission to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise a team of formulation scientists and researchers engaged in the development of OSD, semi-solid, and injectable drug formulations.
- Define and execute the overall formulation development strategy for various pharmaceutical products, considering factors such as stability, bioavailability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including analytical development, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing, to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
- Oversee the planning and execution of pre-formulation and formulation studies, including feasibility assessments, compatibility studies, and process optimization.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices in all formulation development activities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and scientific advancements in the field of formulation development to drive innovation within the company.
- Mentor and develop the skills of the formulation team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Participate in technical discussions and present project updates to senior management and clients as required.
- Identify potential risks and challenges in formulation development projects and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with external research organizations, contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), and academic institutions to enhance the company's research capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field. A higher degree (Masters or Ph.D.) would be a plus.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, with a focus on OSD, semi-solids, and injectables.
- Strong understanding of formulation technologies, physicochemical principles, and drug delivery systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA) and quality standards (e.g., cGMP) related to formulation development.
- Proficient in using scientific software and tools for formulation development and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
