About the Role
Weʼre looking for a motivated and creative Junior Web Designer to join our growing team. As a fresher, youʼll work alongside a senior designer to support both UI/UX design and marketing creatives, from concept to execution. You'll be exposed to a wide variety of design and frontend tasks that will help you build a strong foundation in web and digital design.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the senior designer to create web page layouts, UI components, and assets using Figma.
- Convert designs into responsive, cross-browser-compatible HTML/CSS code.
- Support day-to-day design tasks and iterate on feedback efficiently.
- Ensure consistency in design and user experience across platforms by following branding and style guidelines. Required Skills Strong understanding of Figma for UI/UX and layout design.
- Basic hands-on experience with HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive design. Familiarity with design fundamentals such as layout, typography, and color theory.
- Good communication and a collaborative attitude.Portfolio showcasing design and basic frontend projects (academic or personal work acceptable).
**Good to Have**
- Experience or familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress or Webflow.
- Basic knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and web usability best practices.
- Understanding of browser behavior, media queries, breakpoints, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Awareness of performance optimization techniques (e.g., minifying CSS, optimizing images, lazy loading).
- Familiarity with media types (SVG, WebP, PNG, etc.) and choosing the right file formats for web efficiency.
- Exposure to tools like Google Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, or WebPageTest to evaluate website performance.
- Awareness of design-to-code handoff tools or collaboration tools like Zeplin, Avocode, or Figma Inspect
