**- Minimum 2 +years of experience into US mortgage Underwriting. Must have experience in End to End underwriting on Conventional loans and FHA loans. Knowledge on VA, USDA loans will be an added advantage
- Must have strong understanding of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP); Must have sound knowledge of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac guidelines.
- Calculate all types of income (**Wage earner/self-employment/Other income** etc.)
- Verify accuracy of supporting employment documents, source of down payment/reserves, appraisal value and property title commitment received
- Good decision maker in identifying all types of red flags and Approving or Denying the File Accordingly.
- Analyse the risk involved in approving a loan to determine whether it is acceptable to the lender
- Review of legal documents, if present, to ensure the accuracy & completeness
