10 - 15 years in handling of court cases
A Litigation lawyer represents client, by defending them in a court of law or in the legal proceedings before a judge. A Legal Counsel acts as a general lawyer, who handles all legal matters within the company.
Education Qualification:
**Responsibilities**:
- Research on legal issues, draft legal documents and presents the case before
the court.
- Provide legal support and advice to upper management on relevant legal issues
- Handle litigation
- Keeping up with current changes on all relevant areas of laws and contributing
to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company’s legal function
- Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and
operations
- _Apply_ effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on
possible legal issues
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel,
public authority etc.), creating relations of trust
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure
the company’s full legal rights
- Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
- Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the
organization
- Conduct work with integrity and responsibility
- Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
