Azure Cloud Architect

**50% Define and drive the architectural vision for a next generation biometrics management platform that enables flexibility, accelerates solution development, and lowers deployment cost and complexity**
- Define cloud computing policy, cloud solution architecture and cloud governance process
- Assist with defining requirements and architecture necessary to meet performance, capacity, scalability, availability, and security objectives
- Contribute significantly to product roadmaps, estimation, planning, identification of risks and issues, and development status.
- Contribute to design patterns for breaking existing monoliths into cloud ready micro services based architecture
- Develop deep relationships with key Engineering, Product Management, and IT decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within the company to enable them to be cloud advocates
- Expertise in Docker and containerization technologies
- Build and maintain highly available systems on kubernetes, rancher.
- Implement an auto-scaling system for kubernetes nodes.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Fluentd etc.
- Experience in orchestration tools like rancher, zookeeper or any other equivalent
- Basic security practices hands on and tools like TLS and SASL
- Basic biometric knowledge regarding multimodalities like face, fingerprint, iris for enrolment, matching, quality measurement, authentication would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of basic Biometric SLAs like FPIR, FNIR, FMR, FNMR, etc would be desirable.

**25% Maintains and enhances technology expertise, keeping current cloud, infrastructure, tools, etc.**
- Research, evaluate new cloud services, capabilities, industry trends and emerging technologies
- Explore/awareness about AKS, ABS, Azure AD & RBAC, Azure VNet, Azure SQL, Azure Red Hat OpenShift, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure monitor, Keyvault, WAF, Application Gateway, ACR

**25% Collaborate on decisions, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow-through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills**
- Provide governance and consulting on architecture to all software development teams
- Collaborate with global stakeholders; Provide mentoring and direction to other architects and engineering teams
- Cheerleader and advisor for DevOps, DevSecOps, and the complete automation of build and test pipelines
- Advocate for Lean/Agile methodologies

**Prerequisites -**

**Education**:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

**Experience**:
Certifications, Licenses, etc:
Public cloud vendor certifications in topics such as Well Architected Framework, Secure Infrastructure, FaaS, Serverless, etc

- Excellent in-depth working knowledge of public cloud (primarily Azure) architectures and systems. Must be skilled in the relevant programming languages and environments. Proficient in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support).
- Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems, storage environments, file systems, and network protocols
- Knowledge/experience on designing system with HA, disaster recovery, scalability, fault-tolerance & other non-functional requirements
- Pub-Sub, queue and topic, event based programming

**Programming Language**: Proficiency in at least one popular programming language

**Scripting**: Knowledge in write scripts for maintenance and automation in
