Introduction:
AVP role to execute the Business Management Transformation agenda and act as a horizontal cost partner to co-ordinate, streamline, standardise and support Business Management related activity. Role will provide the opportunity for the incumbent to execute significant improvements across the Business Management teams, ensuring an optimal service offering to business stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

Gatekeeper of BM Service Offering
- Quarterly review and sign off of Business Management Service Offering with Cost partners; embedding automation, simplification and evolution of the Business Management role.
- Ensuring that new demands on Business Management teams are appropriately triaged and rolled-out with a consistent and standardised approach, ensuring Business Management involvement remains value-add.

Management of successful change roll out
- To implement and ensure successful roll-out of initiatives to support Business Management teams (ie. centralised hiring helpdesk)
- Support Central BM team lead to design consistent BM activities / processes for successful roll of those to larger BM functions

Engagement
- Engagement across Business Management teams, Cost Partner leads, external teams such as HR, BM SteerCo and senior leadership to drive and deliver transformation strategy.

Drive consistency & Continual improvement
- Drive Business Management consistency reviews across BX (team sizes, deliverables etc)
- Continuous management of Business Management calendar of deliverables, providing early sight of activities, removing pinch points etc.
- Uphold value-add Business Management Service Offering through review and standardisation of process documentation, ensuring this is available across the BM community
- Ensure regular and relevant updates to Sharepoint site: upcoming deliverables, events, key links, process documentation, vacancy advertisements, targeted learning & development etc.
- Ensure best in class, efficient and robust controls are in place and maintained across all Business Management activities

- Show they’re able to drive high performance across Business Management teams, Cost Partnering teams, and external teams such as HR, even when not directly managing colleagues
- Operate autonomously, but ensure alignment with the Business Management SteerCo / Central BM team lead
- Demonstrate an ability to operate across complex multi-geographic, matrixed organisations
- Have high levels of attention to detail, strong organisational skills and an ability to balance multiple critical requests from various stakeholders with outstanding precision
- Be able to switch between data and narrative driven approaches

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Significant experience in Business Management, Workforce Management, Commercial / vendor or Strategy and Governance functions, with an excellent understanding of working with leaders on a day-to-day basis.
- Degree qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Established and evidenced leadership credentials; proven ability to maintain energy and resilience within an organisation throughout a period of change and/or against significant challenges
- Significant experience in financial services; experience on an international scale preferred
- Experience in operating in a multi-geographic, matrix organisation a plus, with proven ability to balance commercial, client, and regulatory needs across businesses and geographies
- Expert user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills a must.
- Ability to balance multiple critical requests from various stakeholders and prioritise in the right order
- Ability to drive and execute deliverables in short time frames and work with limited supervision and able to thrive in a challenging and ever changing environment
- Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with internal stakeholders across all levels and geographies of the organization.
- Strong Communication skills across a variety of forums and mediums. Proven ability to distil information into key messages and deliver succinctly according to audience
