**BACKGROUND**

The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. The Hans Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.

Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 35 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organisations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.

**Position Overview**

We are seeking a proactive and motivated **Block Coordinator**to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of **Hans Community Wellness Program**in the Prayagraj, Chandauli, Mirzapur, and Sonbhadra.

The Block Coordinator will play a crucial role in driving our rural development interventions, ensuring quality implementation, and supporting our Strategy & Operations team in identifying key challenges and opportunities for scalable impact.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**
- Plan, coordinate, and implement community development projects, primarily in the domains of Health.
- Collaborate with local partners, government stakeholders, and field teams to ensure effective project delivery.
- Support the Strategy & Operations team in collecting field data, analyzing project performance and proposing evidence-based recommendations and documentations.
- Monitor project progress through field visits, reviews, and data analysis; identify operational challenges and develop corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including finance, procurement, and M&E to ensure seamless implementation.
- Prepare and present project updates and dashboards to the senior management.
- Promote knowledge sharing and capacity building within field teams and implementing partners.

**Educational Qualifications**

Batchelor’s/Master’s Degree in Social Work /Sociology/ Development Studies / MBA or equivalent discipline with demonstrated interest in the development sector.

**Desired Qualifications & Skills**
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in rural development or non-profit program implementation
- Experience working with NGOs, grassroots organizations, or government systems is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to work independently and manage diverse tasks simultaneously
- Fluency in English and Hindi (written and verbal) is essential
