Junior Resident Doctor

Key responsibilities of a Junior Resident:
**Patient Assessment**:

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by taking detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Interpret basic diagnostic tests and order further investigations as needed.
- **Treatment Planning**:

- Develop treatment plans for patients based on their diagnosis and under the supervision of attending physicians.
- Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness.
- **Ward Rounds**:

- Participate in daily ward rounds with senior residents and consultants to discuss patient cases, treatment plans, and progress.
- **Procedure Assistance**:

- Assist with minor surgical procedures and other medical interventions as per their clinical privileges.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including progress notes, medication administration, and patient updates.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Respond to medical emergencies in the ward and provide immediate care as needed.
- **Patient Education**:

- Explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge instructions to patients and their families.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work effectively with other healthcare professionals including nurses, pharmacists, and specialists.
