- Key responsibilities include adhering to safety protocols, operating machinery according to production specifications, performing quality checks, maintaining equipment and work areas, and communicating with team members to ensure a smooth production flow.
- Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup and Operation:
Set up machines according to production specifications and operate them safely and efficiently to meet output targets.
- Monitoring and Quality Control:
Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth running and consistent product quality, inspecting finished products against quality standards.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery, and troubleshoot any equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Safety and Housekeeping:
Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate production logs, record data, and report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors.
- Material Management:
Ensure machines are adequately supplied with raw materials to avoid interruptions in the production process.
- Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure efficient production workflow and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
- Mechanical Aptitude:
Ability to work with tools, understand machine operations, and perform basic mechanical adjustments.
- Attention to Detail:
A strong focus on detail is required for setting up machines, performing quality checks, and maintaining precise measurements.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
Capacity to troubleshoot issues, identify potential problems, and implement solutions to improve performance.
- Physical Stamina:
The ability to stand or walk for extended periods and sufficient physical strength and stamina for the demands of the role.
- Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using measurement tools like micrometers and vernier calipers, and the ability to interpret blueprints and manuals.
