**MSSQL DBA / Developer**

**Roles and Responsibilities -**

Install, configure, administer and upgrade MS SQL databases

Good knowledge and practical experience in handling SQL 2019, SQL 2017 databases

Monitor and troubleshoot MS SQL database issues to ensure smooth BAU operation

Develop efficient queries, perform in-depth analysis, and resolve performance issues with existing queries

Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options

Manage user security, including logins, roles, and privileges

Monitor database growth, health, and capacity planning for optimal performance

Good Practical knowledge in designing ETL solutions like importing data from JSON, Excel, PIP files to SQL tables

Design and implement database relationships, including building tables, foreign keys, primary keys, triggers and other database objects

Establish and adhere to backup and recovery policies and procedures

Maintain documentation and ensure to be compliant with our coding standards for the database environment

Collaborate with the Application development team to design and implement efficient solutions

Optimize, troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues including performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies

Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide technical solutions

To create and modify database tables using CRUD SQL commands

Automate routine tasks and help achieve automation excellence

Document database processes, procedures, and standards for future reference

**Skills Required**:
Extensive knowledge of Database Administration for MSSQL Server, including a solid understanding of database architecture

Strong proficiency in installation, configuration, and CU upgrades of Microsoft SQL Server

Excellent proficiency in T-SQL coding, performance tuning and optimisation

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve database problems effectively

Familiarity with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server

Sound knowledge of backup and recovery policies and procedures

Write T-SQL stored procedures to track performance metrics, monitor and improve the environment

ETL process, data imports from various sources (PIP file, Excel, JSON) to database tables

Work closely with analysts and other teams and advise best T-SQL coding practices

Good knowledge in data modeling, capacity planning, scaleup including an understanding of all normalized forms, design and development of stored procedures, views and triggers

Excellent attention to detail, ability to detect and correct problems within T-SQL scripts and ability to work with complex queries and data

Monitor and troubleshoot job failures, setup maintenance plans, alerts

Good Knowledge in Agile development process

A thorough understanding of Tables, Stored Procedures, Indexes, Transactions, Views

Understand table indexing and query strategies, database objects maintenance and performance issues to handle heavy traffic loads

Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code

Solid knowledge of database design principles and data modeling

Build Positive working relationships with colleagues

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, good communication and collaboration skills

**Qualification**: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

**Additional Skills**

Related licences, certifications, and trainings

Optional - Familiarity with NoSQL databases and cloud technologies like AWS and Big Data

Optional - SSIS, SSRS, or SSAS exposure

Optional - Experience in workflow process tools like JIRA

Optional - Experience in Excel, Gsheet, especially in Pivot tables

Optional - Experience in Python, VB or PHP coding

Optional - Experience in financial markets is an added advantage

**Salary**: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
