**Role Overview**

**In the context of the G.R.O.W. strategy and the Solvay One Planet initiative of the Solvay Group, we are looking for a highly motivated and exceptional Machine Learning Engineering Intern to support our Chemical Decoding initiative.The Chemical Decoding initiative aims to radically accelerate innovation projects to create value. It uses Machine Learning along with other techniques to aid scientists to design new materials to face the challenges of the future.**

**Missions**
- ** The intern will work primarily on collection, storage, analysis and manipulation of the chemical data. The work will involve unveiling chemical insights from the collected data and to develop and deploy ML-based models to predict their biological actions.**
- ** The Cheminformatics Intern will work closely with Solvay domain experts.**

**Profile**
- ** Basic understanding of Chemistry**
- ** Familiarity with data pipelining tools (e.g. KNIME)**
- ** Excellent Python coding skills, Jupyter Notebooks is a big plus**
- ** Ability to write clean and efficient code**
- ** Knowledge of data management, databases, visualizations would be a plus**
- ** Highly collaborative mindset & team spirit**
- **Communication skills to present updates, risks and issues in a clear & timely manner**
