Job Title: Commis Chef Level 2 (Commis II)

Reports To: Chef

Department: Kitchen
Job Purpose

To assist senior chefs in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes while developing culinary skills and knowledge. As a Commis II, you will work under supervision and handle basic kitchen tasks to support the team in delivering high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities

**Food Preparation**:
1. Assist in preparing ingredients such as chopping, peeling, marinating, and portioning.

2. Perform basic cooking tasks under the guidance of senior chefs.

3. Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.

**Support Kitchen Operations**:
1. Aid in setting up and maintaining workstations.

2. Follow instructions to prepare dishes according to recipes and standards.

3. Help with plating and garnishing during service.

**Hygiene and Safety**:
1. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

2. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.

3. Handle equipment safely and report any malfunctions.

**Learning and Development**:
1. Observe and learn techniques from senior chefs to improve skills.

2. Attend training sessions to expand knowledge of cuisines and kitchen operations.

3. Practice knife skills and basic cooking techniques regularly.
**Skills and Qualifications**

Basic culinary training or prior experience in a professional kitchen.

Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools.

Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
