**Job Vacancy: Professor (Orthopaedics) - Medical College, Solan, Himachal Pradesh**

**Salary**: As per institutional norms and government pay scale (7th Pay Commission guidelines)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert teaching and mentorship to undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate students in Orthopaedics.
- Oversee and conduct clinical rounds, patient care, and surgical procedures in the Orthopaedics department.
- Lead departmental academic activities, including lectures, seminars, and research presentations.
- Guide and supervise junior faculty, residents, and interns.
- Participate in curriculum development and review for the Orthopaedics program.
- Contribute to cutting-edge research and publications in the field of Orthopaedics.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments to enhance patient care.
- Ensure compliance with medical education standards and regulatory bodies (MCI/NMC guidelines).
- Take part in medical conferences, CME programs, and workshops to stay updated on advancements in the field.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- **Educational Qualification**: MBBS with MS/DNB in Orthopaedics from a recognized institution.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 8-10 years of teaching and clinical experience in Orthopaedics, with at least 4-5 years in a Senior Faculty position (Associate Professor or higher).
- **Research Credentials**: Proven track record of academic publications and research in peer-reviewed journals.
- **Registration**: Must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the State Medical Council.
- **Administrative Skills**: Experience in leading a department or division, with an understanding of medical college administration.
