Maintaining DB2 database objects on z/OS
- Managing the authorities (Grants/Revoke/Maintain user Groups) on DB objects
- Proficiency in DB2 DB management operations like Create/Alter/Drop on objects like Table, Views, alias, tablespaces, index, triggers, stored procedures
- Expertise in running DB utility: Load, Unload, REPAIR, REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY
- Good experience on Image copy, back-up/restore of DB/table/table spaces on z/OS
- Expertise in database start/stop, checkpoint restart, Disaster recovery & maintenance
- Should know database utilities used from JCLs like IKJEFT, DSNUTIL, DB2LDS
- Hand-on experience on data modelling, database configuration, DB2 admin tool for z/OS
- Proficient in documenting analysis into architecture diagrams, technical data flows
- Strong knowledge on troubleshooting skills for DB objects with good analytical skills
- Working knowledge of RACF groups related to access controls and authorization, assignment of object level security to objects
- Should be well versed with experience in working with CICS, JCL, VSAM, SQL, SPUFI
- Should know DB concepts like clustering, indexing, partitioning, performance optimization

IBM IMS and Z/OS utilities: IBM IMS change accum, DBRC, OSAM/VSAM utilities, IMS log analysis utilities, IEB* utilities, SYNCSORT
- Analyze and resolve problems reported by developers
- Monitor database performance and space utilization, tune databases
